Dingdong Dantes to tackle unfulfilled infrastructure projects in ‘Broken Roads, Broken Promises’

Dingdong Dantes has an upcoming GMA Public Affairs documentary, “Broken Roads, Broken Promises,” which will tackle unfinished and unfulfilled infrastructure projects across the country.

According to Athena Imperial’s report on “24 Oras,” Friday, the Kapuso Primetime King visited a town in Northern Samar, where residents warmly welcomed him as he made his way to a local school.

“Ang purpose ng pagpunta namin doon ay para kausapin ng isang case study for this documentary na ginagawa natin under Public Affairs,” Dingdong said.

The special project will investigate incomplete projects such as schools, roads, and flood control systems, developments that were meant to improve lives but were left unfinished due to corruption and mismanagement.

Dingdong added that while he was aware of the issue’s depth, it was a different experience to meet flood victims and hear their frustrations firsthand.

“Iba kapag nabibigyan ng mukha ‘yung problema, nararamdaman mo talaga ‘yung kanilang paghihirap, ‘yung kanilang frustration, at ‘yung kanilang mga pangarap,” he said.

Through “Broken Roads, Broken Promises,” Dingdong hopes to raise awareness about the realities many Filipinos face.

Definitely more so dun sa mga talagang accountable dito,” he said.

Last month, Dingdong and Marian Rivera were recognized at the 11th EdukCircle Awards.

Dingdong currently hosts "Family Feud," "Amazing Earth," and "The Voice Kids Philippines." He will also star in the upcoming series "Master Cutter" with Max Collins, Shuvee Etrata, Charlie Fleming, and more.
