Alden Richards shares Christmas wish: Accountability, action against corruption

Alden Richards’ Christmas wish this year is fairness for everyone, as well as accountability and action against corruption from those in power.

According to Aubrey Carampel’s report on “24 Oras,” Friday, the Kapuso actor joined a Christmas tree lighting event at a mall in Quezon City, where he shared his hope for Filipinos.

“Sana ma-realize ng lahat ng mga kababayan natin, in position or not in position, to treat everyone fairly because I think that's being taken for granted for the longest time right now," he said.

"And sana kumikilos talaga para mapanagot kung sino—I’m talking about corruption. So sana kumilos talaga ‘yung mga people in power,” he added.

Meanwhile, more stars took part in separate tree lighting ceremonies across Metro Manila to mark the start of the festive season.

In Mandaluyong City, a 45-foot Christmas tree was unveiled in a colorful unboxing ceremony, with Marian Rivera as one of the special guests.

Over at Araneta City in Cubao, the iconic giant Christmas tree was lit in a star-studded event featuring performances by former “Pinoy Big Brother” housemates Mika Salamanca, Brent Manalo, Klarisse de Guzman, and Bianca de Vera

Vice Ganda also performed and shared a selfless Christmas wish.

“Sana umayos itong bansang ito. Sana magkaroon siya ng hustisya, mabigyan ng hustisya ang lahat ng mga mamamayang Pilipino na nawalan, nasaktan, at namatayan dahil sa kapabayaan at dahil sagarapal na korapsyon,” Vice said.
