Miss Universe Organization stands in solidarity with PH, Vietnam after Typhoon Tino
The Miss Universe Organization has extended their sympathies to the Philippines and Vietnam in the aftermath of Typhoon Tino (international name: Kalmaegi).
In an Instagram video, reigning queen Victoria Kjaer expressed the organization's "heartfelt sympathies to the people of the Philippines and Vietnam, following the devastating impact of Typhoon Kaelmagi."
"Our thoughts are with all the families affected by this tragedy, and we stand with those facing loss and hardship in the aftermath," she added, as she honored the dedication of local authorities, rescue teams, and organizations providing aid and relief.
“In times like these, we're reminded of the strengths and compassion that unite us all. The Miss Universe Organization stands in solidarity with the people of the Philippines and Vietnam, wishing for healing and swift recovery,” Victoria said.
In the caption, MUO said it “stands with the people of the Philippines and Vietnam. United in compassion, strength, and hope. May every heart find comfort, every community find healing, and every nation rise again with resilience and light.”
Typhoon Tino has pushed President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. to declare a one-year state of national calamity after battering the Visayas Island.
Shortly after Supertyphoon Uwan arrived and wrecked havoc in various parts of the country, including Catanduanes and Aurora. It exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) early Tuesday.
The Miss Universe coronation is happening on November 21 in Bangkok, Thailand. Ahtisa Manalo is vying for the country’s fifth crown.
