Thea Astley, Arabelle Dela Cruz, Garrett Bolden ready to bring A-game to Veiled Cup Korea
Thea Astley, Arabelle Dela Cruz, and Garrett Bolden are ready to bring their A-game as they represent the Philippines in the South Korean reality competition Veiled Cup Korea!
The Kapuso stars were named the Top 3 winners of the "Veiled Musician Philippines" that aired on
All-Out Sundays" on November 9.
In Aubrey Carampel's report on "24 Oras" Tuesday, Thea vowed that they will do better now that they have the chance to showcase their talents on the international stage.
"Lahat kami nag-ensayo nang mabuti at syempre ngayon na madadala na namin 'yung mga boses namin on an even bigger stage, on the global stage, mas lalong paghuhusayan pa namin 'yung pag-p-prepare to be worthy of the opportunity that has been given to us," she said.
Arabelle, who finished as first runner-up in "The Clash" 2025 in September, echoed the same sentiments, saying they will not waste the chance representing the Philippines.
"Sobrang fresh lang nung grand finals na nangyari sa 'min sa 'The Clash' so sabi ko, iba talaga si Lord, grabe siya mag-surprise," she shared. "Andaming opportunity na mangyayari and syempre hindi namin sasayangin 'to kasi Pilipinas na 'yung i-re-represent namin."
Meanwhile, Garrett shared about their unique experience competing in "Veiled Musician Philippines" where they were judged blind by Girls' Generation member and K-pop star Tiffany Young, Julie Anne San Jose, Rita Daniela, and Mark Bauista.
"Parang first time ko 'yung ganung competition, talaga wala kang makikita, hindi mo makikita 'yung judges, hindi mo ma-e-express 'yung song physically, so parang sobrang one of a kind experience siya," he said.
Thea, Arabella, and Garrett each won a Trip to Korea package and K-pop vocal training, with prizes totaling P1 million.
They will represent the Philippines in the Veiled Cup Korea, competing against other representatives from Asia. The winner of the Veiled Cup Korea will receive a recording contract for a K-drama original soundtrack, appear in the South Korean music program "Inkigayo," and be a part of the "Veiled Musician Global Tour."
