Marian Rivera, Sparkle stars join GMA Kapuso Foundation's relief repacking activity for typhoon victims
Marian Rivera donated sacks of rice and volunteered in the relief repacking activity of the GMA Kapsuo Foundation for communities affected by Typhoon Tino and Super Typhoon Uwan.
In Nelson Canlas' report in "24 Oras" Friday, the Kapuso Primetime Queen encuoraged her fellow Filipinos to lend a helping hand to their affected kababayan.
"Walang maliit na tulong basta sama-sama, kaya sa mga hindi pa nakakapag-donate sana po mag-donate po tayo para sa mga kababayan natin, para makatulong tayo," she said.
Several Sparkle stars also volunteered for the foundation's relief repacking activity, including Prince Carlos, Prince Clemente, Althea Ablan, Ronnie Liang, and some members of Cloud 7.
"I think it's the least we can do na sobrang layo natin sa kanila. 'Yun lang 'yung magagawa nating paraan para makatulong," said Prince Carlos.
Recently, Marian, alongside GMA Network Senior Vice President Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes and Department of Justice Undersecretary Atty. Margarita Gutierrez, was recognized at the Tinging's List: The Elegant Filipinas 2025 event.
According to Canlas' report, Gozon-Valdes joined forces with Gutierrez, who is also co-founder of the non-profit organization Kababaihan, with Kababaihan choosing the GMA Kapuso Foundation to receive the funds they've raised for the typhoon victims.
"'Yung Kababaihan organization, napili nila ang GMA Kapuso Foundatoin para i-donate 'yung kanilang na-collect po na donation para po sa mga victims po ng t+Typhoon Uwan at ng Tino na rin po," said Gutierrez.
"Nagpapasalamat ako sa kanila, kasi actually nangyari 'yung event nun bago 'yung mga bagyo and naisip pa nila na GMA Foundation 'yung bigyan at i-trust ng mga donations nila," said Gozon-Valdes.
For those who wish to support GMA Kapuso Foundation's projects, donations may be made via Metrobank, Land Bank, BDO, Bank of Commerce, UnionBank, PNB, Cebuana Lhuillier, GCash, Lazada, and Shopee. Visit the GMA Kapuso Foundation website for more information.
