AiAi Delas Alas celebrates birthday on Sparkle Trenta stage, performs new single

It was a double celebration for AiAi Delas Alas on Sparkle Trenta!

The Comedy Concert Queen belatedly celebrated her 61st birthday at the anniversary event, with Boobay, Betong Sumaya, Jayson Gainza, and Pepita Curtis-Smith surprising her with a cake.

The comedians also shared their praises for AiAi and for her longevity in the showbiz industry.

Greeting her fans, AiAi said, “Naiiyak ako.”

“Thank you sa mga fans, I love you, salamat.”

Boobay then teased, “Ayun na nga, syempre hindi pwedeng walang pasabog ngayong gabi ‘pag may pinaguusapang AiAi Delas Alas, dahil single ngayon si Miss Ai, alam nating lahat guys. May bago din po siyang single.”

Following this, AiAi performed her brand new single, “Haliparot Delulu,” complete with backup dancers.

AiAi is not the only celebrant on Saturday.

GMA Senior Vice President for Programming, Talent Management, Worldwide, and Support Group and President of GMA Films Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes; First Vice President of Sparkle GMA Artist Center and Talent Development & Management Joy Marcelo also celebrated their birthdays on stage.

"Maraming maraming salamat po sa lahat ng pumunta tonight for Sparkle artists. Sobrang happy kami na to have you with us, so thank you," Marcelo said. "Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, maraming maraming salamat po."

Gozon-Valdes added, "Thank you for all the support to all our artists and we promise na talagang bibigyan namin sila ng mga breaks at ng mga shows kung saan sila pwede. Lalagay talaga namin sila para sa inyo."

AiAi said in an October 2024 “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” interview that she and Gerald Sibayan have separated after 10 years of being together.

The actress tearfully said that she and Gerald tried to conceive a child via in vitro fertilization (IVF), but they lost two of their three embryos.

AiAi also revealed that Gerald cheated on her in 2019, which gave her trust issues.
