Being in the limelight, Sanya Lopez has grown accustomed to online criticism, saying she has learned to handle bashers since the start of her showbiz career.
On Wednesday’s “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” the Sparkle star stressed that social media can help or harm depending on how it is used.
Ang social media kasi is a platform na puwedeng makatulong sa 'yo or makasira sa 'yo,” she said, adding that she focuses on content that inspires her.
When asked how she manages bashing, Sanya said negative comments have been present from the moment she entered showbiz.
Per Sanya, she keeps her perspective by reminding herself that online criticism is small compared to the issues many Filipinos face daily.
“Sa dami ng nangyayari sa atin ngayon, sa dami ng problema natin ngayon, especially here now in the Philippines, parang itong mga nangyayari sa akin, mababaw lang ito kumpara sa pinaka nagiging problema natin talaga,” she said.
One thing that helps Sanya is stepping back from social media every now and then.
“Sometimes, ‘di ako nag-social media, Tito Boy,” she said.
Sanya currently stars in “Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre."
She is also part of the upcoming "Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho: Gabi ng Lagim” movie with Jillian Ward, Miguel Tanfelix, and more.
It is set to premiere in cinemas nationwide on November 26.
