GMA Network, Save the Children Philippines renew partnership

GMA Network and Save the Children Philippines have renewed their partnership.

According to "24 Oras" on Monday, GMA Network Senior Vice President Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes and Save the Children Philippines CEO Atty. Alberto Muyot signed the renewal of the partnership earlier at the GMA Network headquarters in Quezon City.

Save the Children Philippines Ambassador Barbie Forteza was also present at the event, where she bonded with the kids and shared her advocacy message about various issues relating to children's rights.

"Ang kabataan, they are the hope of our nation, they are the hope of the world, and we need to really listen to their voice kasi they are very empowered," shared Gozon-Valdes.

"We at GMA, we are here to make your voice heard, papakinggan namin kayo at talagang gagawa kami ng paraan para marinig kayo ng buong bansa," she added.

Meanwhile, Barbie shared that the younger generation today has taught her to be hopeful.

"I've become hopeful dahil ganito mag-isip ang ating mga kabataan today, so I know na our future is in good hands," the Kapuso Primetime Princess said.

Barbie and David Licauco were named ambassadors of Save the Children Philippines in September 2024.

In April 2025, Barbie and fellow Kapuso stars Jillian Ward, Camille Prats, and Rabiya Mateo participated in a fun run for the benefit of the NGO

Save the Children, a leading independent children’s organization, has been operating in the Philippines since 1981. It is committed to positively changing the lives of Filipino children through different programs that focus on delivering humanitarian response, advancing children's health and nutrition, giving greater access to education, and securing children's rights and protection from abuse and violence.
