Miss Universe Jamaica 2025 Dr. Gabrielle Henry is nearing discharge, Miss Universe Organization says

Miss Universe Jamaica 2025 Dr. Gabrielle Henry is nearing discharge, the latest dispatch from the Miss Universe Organization (MUO) said.

Posted on social media late Monday, the MUO said it was maintaining "strict discretion regarding specific details" about Miss Jamaica's medical status "out of respect for Dr. Henry and her family."

"We believe that matters concerning her health should be communicated only at the appropriate time and solely at the family's discretion, or by Dr. Henry herself should she choose to do so," the statement read.

Signed by MUO President Raul Rocha, it admitted "there have been difficult moments and unexpected concerns" over the last four days.

"However, thanks to the excellent medical care provided, each issue was successfully resolved. Today we are pleased to share that the latest medical report confirms that Dr. Gabrielle Henry is in good health and nearing discharge," it said.

According to the statement, "The Miss Universe Organization has assumed one hundred percent of all related expenses, including those of Dr. Henry's family. This has included hotel accommodation near the hospital, rebooking of airline tickets, transportation services, and dedicated staff assigned to accompany and assist the family throughout this process."

The statement enlisted the steps by which the organization helped and assisted Miss Jamaica "to ensure her safety and well-being."

Miss Universe suffered an unfortunate fall on stage during the evening gown portion of the preliminaries, which took place on November 19.

In a statement dated November 21, the Miss Universe Jamaica organization said the beauty queen was in the ICU and "wasn't doing well as we'd have hoped."

Miss Universe Jamaica's accident is just one of a number of complications that's befallen the prestigious beauty pageant. Shortly after the coronation, where Mexico's Fatima Bosch was declared the winner, resigned judge Omar Harfouch alleged the results were rigged.

It's prompted Rocha to issue statements.

Meanwhile, Olivia Yace of Côte d'Ivoire has resigned as Miss Universe Africa & Oceania.
