Aira Bermudez, Aifha Medina address comparisons between Sexbomb Girls, BINI: 'Time ng BINI ngayon'
What do Aira Bermudez and Aifha Medina have to say about netizens comparing the Sexbomb Girls to BINI?
The Sexbomb members guested on Thursday's "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" where they were asked for their reaction to netizens saying the Sexbomb Girls deserve the title of Nation's Girl Group and that they are the pillars of P-Pop.
"Siguro nung time namin deserve namin, pero time ng BINI ngayon. We have to respect that," said Aira.
Per Aira, Filipinos should be proud of BINI's achievements and for raising the Philippine flag.
"Lahat tayo may timing sa buhay, tsaka ni-re-represent nila 'yung country natin, so we have to be proud sa narating nila," she said.
Aifha also noted that the title of Nation's Girl Group is BINI's.
"Bigay na natin sa kanila 'yan," she said.
"Hindi po kami nakikipagcompete," she added.
The Sexbomb Girls are set to reunite this December for a two-night concert on December 4 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum and on December 9 at the MOA Arena.
Fellow Sexbomb member Rochelle Pangilinan has promised a night of nostalgia.
The group rose to fame through its daily appearances on a noontime TV variety show. Later, the Sexbomb Girls starred in the afternoon soap, "Daisy Siete," and became top recording artists.
They were such a Filipino pop culture phenomenon that long after the members went their separate ways, Sexbomb and their songs are still remembered fondly by fans.
In 2023, six of Sexbomb Girls reunited for a Netflix ad, dancing to their popular hit "Spaghetti Song."
