Julie Anne San Jose reveals she almost auditioned for 'Miss Saigon'

Julie Anne San Jose hopes to take her talents to the world of theater one day.

In Nelson Canlas' report in "24 Oras Weekend" on Sunday, the Asia's Limitless star revealed that she actually almost auditioned for "Miss Saigon."

"Fun fact, I got a call slip that time during 'Miss Saigon.' Pero during the audition day, as in sobrang nagkasakit ako. Hindi ako tumuloy," Julie Anne said.

"If ever I'm given a chance of course I would love to," she added.

Julie Anne recently released her new single, "Simula," which she wrote and composed two years ago.

Following its release, the Sparkle star landed top spots in iTunes Philippines. She became the top-searched artist, her previous albums made it to the Top 4 spots, and she had three entries on the Top Songs list with "Simula" at the Top 20.

Julie Anne is also among the judges of "The Voice Kids Philippines" alongside Billy Crawford, Zack Tabudlo, and Paolo Benjamin and Miguel Benjamin of Ben&Ben. —Jade Veronique Yap/MGP, GMA Integrated News
