Dennis Trillo, Will Ashley, GMA Pictures win big at 41st PMPC Star Awards for Movies
Several Kapuso stars and film creatives were recognized at the 41st Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) Star Awards for Movies.
Dennis Trillo bagged the Movie Actor of the Year award for "Green Bones," while National Artist for Broadcast and Film Ricky Lee with Anj Atienza took home Movie Screenwriter of the Year, also for "Green Bones." Benjamin Tolentino meanwhile received the Movie Editor of the Year award.
Dennis was also honored as Star of the Night for the 41st PMPC Star Awards, while Will Ashley secured the New Movie Actor of the Year award for “Balota.”
Last but not least, Alden Richards and Kathryn Bernardo were hailed as the Takilya King and Queen for “Hello, Love, Again,” the highest-grossing Filipino film of all time, which surpassed P1 billion in gross sales.
“Green Bones” led with the most nominations at 14, followed by “Hello, Love, Again” with 13 noms. “Balota” had 12.
This year’s edition of the PMPC Star Awards was held at the newly revamped Makabagong San Juan Theater on Sunday night.
