Dennis Trillo’s ‘honest politician’ look earns him PMPC Male Star of the Night award

Dennis Trillo has won the Movie Actor of the Year award for “Green Bones” at the 41st Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) Star Awards for Movies, but he is just as thrilled about bagging the Male Star of the Night title.

On Instagram, the Kapuso Drama King shared a photo of himself posing with his Best Actor trophy and his Male Star of the Night sash.

Styled by AJ Alberto and Christopher Ian Vinarao, Dennis described his look as a “fabulous honest politician.”

“Sarap din pala sa pakiramdam," he said, adding, "20 plus years na akong nag e-effort, ngayon lang ako nanalo ng Male Star of the Night!”

“Wow, what a night! Buti na lang at marami ding absent kanina, yes," Dennis also joked.

Aside from Dennis, Will Ashley also secured the New Movie Actor of the Year award for “Balota.”

Meanwhile, Alden Richards and Kathryn Bernardo were hailed as the Takilya King and Queen for “Hello, Love, Again,” the highest-grossing Filipino film of all time, which surpassed P1 billion in gross sales.

Dennis stars in “Sanggang Dikit FR” alongside his wife, Jennylyn Mercado. It airs weeknights on GMA Prime at 8:50 p.m.
