Ate Gay confined in hospital for 'side effects' after cancer treatment

Ate Gay is back in the hospital a month after completing his treatment for cancer.

On Facebook, the comedian shared a photo of himself confined at the Asian Hospital and Medical Center in Muntinlupa City.

“Late na ako nakaranas ng side effect .. di makakain dahil sa daming singaw ng bibig ko kaya nagpaconfine..48hrs yan nakatusok sa akin yan muna ang paraan ng pagpapakain,” he wrote.

In November, Ate Gay said he has “graduated” from radiation and chemotherapy.

In a September episode of "Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho," Ate Gay disclosed his Stage 4 cancer diagnosis, and since then, blessings has come pouring in for the comedian. An anonymous doctor helped him with his radiation therapy at the Asian Hospital, while a fan lent a condo unit nearby for the comedian's convenience.

After six days of treatment, the lump on his neck had visibly shrunk. In an October interview with Nelson Canlas, Ate Gay gave the lowdown of his full treatment: 35 days of radiation and five times of chemotherapy.
