GMA Network wins big at Anak TV Seal Awards 2025


Several programs and personalities of GMA Network earned recognition at the Anak TV Seal Awards 2025. 

According to Bernadette Reyes' report on "24 Oras" on Tuesday, GMA Network's flagship newscast "24 Oras," as well as "24 Oras Weekend" and "Unang Hirit" were among the programs that received Anak TV Seal Awards. 

"In the age of misinformation and disinformation, it is all the more incumbent upon media to create content that is truthful, factual, relevant, and right. Asahan po ninyo na amin po 'yang ipagpapatuloy hanggang sa hinaharap. Maraming salamat po muli sa Anak TV," said GMA Network Senior Assistant Vice President for News Programs and Specials John Ray Arrabe. 

More programs under GMA Public Affairs were also recognized with the Anak TV Seal, including "Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho," "Born to Be Wild," "Dami Mong Alam, Kuya Kim," "Pinoy MD," and "Reporter's Notebook: Upuan ni Ipiw." 

GMA Regional TV and Synergy's "GMA Regional TV Balitang Bisdak," "GMA Regional TV One Western Visayas," and "NCAA Season 100 Opening Ceremony" also received Anak TV Seal Awards. 

Under GTV, the following programs were likewise recognized: "Balitanghali" "Biyahe ni Drew," "Farm to Table," "Good News," and "Pinas Sarap: Baler Seafood." 

Moreover, several Kapuso programs were included among Anak TV's Top 10 Favorite Programs, including "24 Oras," "KMJS," "Family Feud," "iBilb," "Daig Kayo ng Lola Ko," "Amazing Earth," "I-Witness," and "Aha!" 

The Anak TV Seal Online 2025 was also held for the first time, recognizing key programs under GMA International: "Pinoys at Sea," "Hanap ng Pusong Global Pinoys," and "Global Pinoy Unlimited." 

Meanwhile, Alden Richards was recognized as a Hall of Famer and a Net Makabata Star awardee. The latter is bestowed upon online influencers, digital creators, and artists who use their platforms to inspire, educate, and spread kindness online. 

"This is another reminder for me to keep on pursuing, keep on giving inspiration to a lot of people especially the kids who is watching and you know, looking at us from afar with the things that we do," said Alden. 

Other Net Makabata Star awardees include Will Ashley, Mika Salamanca, and Caprice Cayetano. 

David Licauco, Barbie Forteza, Gabbi Garcia, Shaira Diaz, Marco Masa, and Chris Tiu, for their part, were named Anak TV Makabata Star awardees. 

"You play a very important role in influencing the growth and the future development of mga bata. 'Pag may Anak TV Seal nakalagay o nakadikit sa programa, ibig sabihin hindi dapat matakot, hindi dapat mabahala ang mga magulang o 'yung mga guardian dahil hinimay-himay na 'yan ng taong-bayan," said Anak TV President Elvira Yap Go. 

Anak TV is an organization that promotes media and television literacy, and backs the agenda for child-sensitive, family-friendly television in the Philippines. Every year, the Anak TV Seal is bestowed on exemplary television programs that fulfill the needs of the youth.
