Alden Richards hopes to direct Dingdong Dantes, Marian Rivera in a project
Alden Richards hopes to focus on directing following his directorial debut this year — and he has two artists in mind that he wants to direct.
In the second part of his GMA Integrated News interview with Nelson Canlas, which aired on "24 Oras" Wednesday, the Asia's Multimedia Star shared that he wants to do a project where he is just a director.
In his directorial debut with "Out of Order," it can be remembered that Alden had worn the hat of director, actor, and producer.
"I'd like to do a project na director lang ako, I think that's my next -- that's my priority para totally focused ka lang sa storytelling, how you want the characters to be," he said.
When asked who the artists he wishes to direct are, Alden expressed his hope to work with Kapuso Royal Couple Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera.
"Oh my God, baka masyadong ambitious. Sana si Kuya Dong tsaka si Yan. I've always looked up to them," he said.
"With Kuya Dong and Yan, I just want to see them in the eyes of a director rather than a friend and a co-actor on a project. Iba rin 'yun."
During his GMA Integrated News interview, he also shared his mission in life, which is to inspire others and share his success.
"There's no fulfillment with a success that's being celebrated by just one person. Being able to be here and be a platform of inspiration to make people feel like their lives are getting better everyday with the things that you do. I think that's my higher calling," he said.
The Kapuso actor is celebrating his 15th year in the showbiz industry. He will hold his fan meet, "ARXV: Moving ForwARd," at the City of Santa Rosa Laguna Multi-Purpose Complex on December 13.
His film, "Out of Order," had premiered at the competition section of the third Da Nang Asian Film Festival in Vietnam in June and the 2025 Jagran Film Festival in India in September.
