John Clifford admits to being a rule-breaker: 'I like being the center of attention'

John Clifford faced some truths in Wednesday's episode of "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition."

During a conversation with Kuya in the Confession Room, the actor apologized for the violations he committed.

"Aware ako na kung gagawin ko tong isang bagay, lalabag siya sa rules, minsan po ay ginagawa ko pa rin, Kuya," he said. "I'm really sorry po, Kuya, sa mga nagawa ko po."

The housemates have been undergoing a series of punishments from Kuya, who recently scolded them for a number of violations. He called the young actors out for the lack of respect and disregard of his rules.

Clifford admitted that when they were being punished, he thought it was "unfair," and did not reflect immediately.

He then promised to "lock in."

"Syempre ayoko rin po mag-promise sa inyo, Kuya, na di ko na talaga magagawa 'yung mga bagay na 'yun, pero siguro I'll really try my best to show it and prove it through my actions," he said.

Kuya told Clifford that the way the housemates were acting, it was like they were all "entitled."

Clifford said that he was the same way in the outside world, and tended to defy his parents.

"I'm a rule-breaker, ako po 'yung type na hindi sineseryoso 'yung mga rules. Mahilig po talaga akong maiba," he said.

"I'm gonna be honest, I like being the center of attention, 'yun 'yung isang bagay na gusto kong pinapakita, pero never kong inaamin na ganon ako, Kuya," he added.

Kuya said that the concept of "pagpapakatotoo" is not a license to be stubborn; rather, it is an "act of integrity."

"Hindi ito ang paraan para tanggapin ka," Kuya told Clifford.

Clifford turned emotional and broke down into tears.

"Sa tingin ko kasi, Kuya, hindi ko makukuha 'yung respeto ng mga tao 'pag pinakita ko kung sino talaga ako. Masyadong boring... wala silang mapapala sakin Kuya, dinadaan ko nalang sa biro po," he admitted.

"'Yun nalang ang ginagawa ko para makapag-connect po sa mga housemates, pero inaamin ko rin po sa kanila Kuya na gusto ko sila makausap in a deeper level," he added.

In earlier episodes, the PBB housemates were placed in makeshift jail cells and forced to clean every area of Bahay ni Kuya as punishment for their violations, which totaled to 117.
