Gladys Reyes on extreme reactions to ‘Cruz vs. Cruz’ role: ‘Parang may death threat na eh’
Gladys Reyes’ portrayal of Hazel in “Cruz vs. Cruz” has drawn strong reactions from viewers, with the actress saying some comments have gone to unexpected extremes.
On Tuesday’s “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” Gladys said she reads feedback online and understands that opinions will vary.
According to the actress, some viewers have become so immersed in the story that they speak to her as if she were Hazel in real life.
“Sabi mo nga, you cannot please everybody, right?

Gladys added some of the messages she received went beyond ordinary viewer reactions.
“Tito Boy, parang may death threat na eh. Talagang sinasapuso niya ‘yung kasamaang ginagawa ni Hazel Cruz,” she said.
Despite the harsh remarks, the actress said she still appreciates feedback from viewers, whether positive or negative.
I appreciate all your comments, good or bad, ganiyan. Siyempre mas kinikilig kami, ‘pag good ‘yan,” Gladys said.
“Cruz vs. Cruz” airs on GMA Network at 3:20 p.m. on weekdays and 2:30 p.m. on Saturdays.
