Dennis Trillo receives Best Actor trophy from Asian Academy Creative Awards 2025
Dennis Trillo has finally received the Best Actor in a Leading Role trophy he won at the Asian Academy Creative Awards for his portrayal of Domingo Zamora in “Green Bones.”
On Facebook, the Kapuso actor shared a video of himself unboxing the award, which was accepted on behalf of Dennis by GMA Network Vice President for Musical, Variety, Specials, and Alternative Productions for Entertainment Group and Philippine Ambassador for the Asian Academy of Creative Arts Gigi Santiago-Lara.
It came with a letter from her that said, “Congratulations! Hopefully you can come to the Asian Academy of Creative Awards next December to present an award and give/show your thanks for the Academy members.”
The trophy came in a golden box, as well as the actual envelope that had his name on it, declaring him the winner of the award.
Among those Dennis thanked were the people who brought the film to life, both on and off camera.
“Sa aking pamilya na nagbibigay ng lakas, pagmamahal, at inspirasyon, at sa lahat ng mga walang sawang tumatangkilik at naniniwala simula noon, hanggang ngayon. At siyempre po, sa Asian Academy Creative Awards, maraming salamat po sa pagkilala na ito. Salamat po at pinanalo niyo ang mga Pilipino,” he said.
"Green Bones" is the official entry of GMA Pictures to the Metro Manila Film Festival 2024, where it won several awards, including Best Actor for Dennis, Best Supporting Actor for Ruru Madrid, and Best Picture.
The film follows Xavier Gonzaga (Ruru), a young policeman determined to keep notorious criminal Domingo Zamora (Dennis) behind bars.
Dennis also won a Gawad Urian award in October for the role.
“Green Bones” is streaming on Netflix.
