Is Chavit Singson considering to buy Miss Universe Organization? 

Chavit Singson is set to meet with Miss Universe Organization (MUO) next month to talk and negotiate terms of possibly buying the franchise.

Speaking to GMA Lifestyle, Singson said “things are not yet final, but they'll come here next month."

According to the former politician and business magnate, MUO's previous issues with Thailand and Mexico are among the reasons why he's thinking of buying it. 

“They had problems recently, so I told my daughter to get in touch with Miss Universe— I want to buy and run the Miss Universe Organization,” he said.

“They're coming to the Philippines next month. I might run Miss Universe. I might buy it,” Singson added.

The Miss Universe 2025 pageant was marred by several controversies from pre-pageant events up until after the coronation, including allegations of rigged results.

Miss Universe Organization President Raul Rocha has issued several statements on social media addressing some of the controversies. 

The pageant held in Bangkok, Thailand, in November crowned Fatima Bosch of Mexico as the Miss Universe 2025, while the Philippine bet Ahtisa Manalo was the third runner-up. — Jade Veronique Yap/LA, GMA Integrated News
