Alden Richards to play villain for the first time on int’l film ‘Big Tiger’


Alden Richards just gave us something to look forward to in the new year!

Asia's Multimedia Star is set to play a villain for the first time in the upcoming international film “Big Tiger.”

On Monday’s episode of “Unang Hirit,” Alden said portraying a kontrabida is among his dream roles as an actor.

“I’ve been dreaming about playing this kind of role because it’s been a dream of mine to [also be] a bad guy in a storytelling,” he said.

“In terms of prep, constant communication with the director and bringing back knowledge of the previous villains that I’ve watched in the pastm and how to be different, how to make this new,” he added.

Aside from starring in “Big Tiger,” alongside Max Collins and Byron Mann, Alden is also co-producing the film.

“Big Tiger” is set to hit the cinemas locally and internationally in 2026.

Alden is fresh from his successful fan meet dubbed “ARXV: Moving ForwARd” in celebration of his 15 years in the show business.

During the event, he shared the stage with his father, Richards Faulkerson Sr., for a duet, as well as with Julia Montes, who surprised him with a special message.

Aside from his fan meet, Alden also dedicated a day to charities to mark his landmark anniversary in showbiz.
