Herlene Budol on being rejected by Bea Borres as baby's ninang: ‘Hindi naman ako nasaktan’

Herlene Budol said that she was not hurt when she was rejected by her close friend Bea Borres to be one of the godmothers or ninang of the latter's baby.

During her guesting in “Fast Talk With Boy Abunda,” the Kapuso comedienne was asked about her reaction to Bea's rejection.

According to Herlene, she volunteered to be Bea's baby’s ninang because she felt that Bea needed someone who would protect her behind closed doors.

“Kulang siya ng taong hindi man mag-guide, 'yung poprotektahan siya with or without camera. Bilang isang kaibigan,” she added.

Herlene added that she was not hurt, but admitted that she felt embarrassed.

She clarified that she understood Bea’s reason for rejecting her and held no ill feelings toward her.

In a previous vlog of Alex Gonzaga where both Herlene and Bea appeared, Herlene volunteered to be a ninang to Bea’s baby girl and was later rejected.

Shortly after the vlog, Bea took to social media to address the issue and said “I didn’t know naman na magiging issue sa inyo hahah edi kayo mag anak!” adding she already had a list of godparents for her baby as early as her first trimester.

Herlene also said on TikTok that she didn’t take it personally when she was rejected as a ninang.

Bea announced her pregnancy in August. That same month, she shared a sonogram and revealed that she is having a baby girl.

She also said that she will not be co-parenting with anyone and advised fellow single moms to focus on themselves and build their wealth.

Bea has a high-risk pregnancy and needed to skip her baby shower for close monitoring in the hospital.
