Ashley Sarmiento cries as she reunites with her mom

Ashley Sarmiento received a sweet Christmas surprise on "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0."

The Kapuso teen star was the latest housemate to meet a loved one for Christmas, reuniting with her mom, Jovel Altoveros.

Upon seeing her, Ashley could not help but burst into tears. They also immediately shared a hug.

"Oh my god, mommy!" Ashley screamed and jumped in joy.

Jovel gave Ashley lipstick for Christmas and told Ashley to stay strong. The actress found it hard to say goodbye to her mother.

Later in the Confession Room, Ashley said she could not explain her feelings.

"Napakagandang regalo po Kuya nito para sa 'kin. Hindi lang po makita at maramdaman 'yung presensya niya, kundi makausap po at marinig ko po 'yung boses ng mom ko Kuya at makamusta po siya," she said.

"Nakakagaan po sa loob. Sobrang fulfilling po ng moment Kuya na makita ko siya ulit. Tas grabe Kuya, feeling ko bata ako ulit na nagsusumbong sa nanay ko."

Jovel also shared stories about Ashley in the Confession Room, saying that she is very generous.

"Malambot 'yung puso niya lalo na kung may nakikita siyang mas may kailangan kaysa sa kanya," she said about her daughter.

Jovel said that they had a clingy relationship when Ashley was young. But when she turned into a teenager, they rarely hugged.

"Na-mi-miss ko po si Ashley, lalo na kung iniisip kong mag-ki-Christmas po," she said.

"May time po talaga na 'pag iisipin ko po siya bigla, bigla nalang po ako iiyak sa bahay po," Jovel added. "Nasanay po 'kong katabi ko po siya, at tsaka nasanay din po 'ko na lagi ko po siya nasisita kahit sa pag-inom ng vitamins, pagkain sa tamang oras. Ganun po."
