Faith Da Silva admits feeling scared of losing gigs for speaking out against corruption

Faith Da Silva was among the celebrities who joined a run against corruption in September.

During her guesting in "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda" on Tuesday, the Sparkle star admitted that she felt scared of losing gigs for speaking out against corruption.

"Natakot din talaga ako kasi ito 'yung first ever rally na nag-speak out ako, na nag-voice out ako and I was there," Faith said.

However, she said she chose to move forward for a greater cause. According to her, money would be meaningless if people continue to suffer.

"Pero for a greater cause, I mean aanhin ko 'yung kinikita kong mga pera na 'yon kung ang mga mamamayan naman doon ay nag-struggle because of that," Faith said.

Aside from losing gigs, the "Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre" star said she also feared for her personal safety.

On September 21, two separate protests where held in Metro Manila: the Trillion Peso March in the People Power Monument, and the Baha sa Luneta: Aksyon na Laban sa Korapsyon.

The protests were triggered by the anomalous flood control projects currently being probed in Congress and the Senate. —Jade Veronique Yap/MGP, GMA Integrated News
