PBB Collab 2.0: Housemates share their New Year's resolutions
The “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition” housemates welcomed 2026 together with New Year’s resolutions.
During KISLAP: The Sparkling Magical New Year Ball, the housemates each shared a word related to their resolutions, and explained the stories behind it.
Miguel Vergara’s word is “paglipad.”
“Pinili ko ito dahil buong buhay ko, there were always wings that supported me,” Miguel said, and added that there are people in his life who motivate him.
But since they are not always around, Miguel’s answer to that is “to spread my own wings, to soar higher gamit ang mga sarili kong pakpak. Mahirap pero kailangan.”
Miguel added that he grew inside Bahay ni Kuya more than he thought he would and became “a better Miguel.”
“Kung lumipad man ako magisa o may kasama, at least I had the courage to fly. At para sa ‘kin, ‘yun ang pinaka importante,” he said.
Later in the Confession Room, Miguel said, “My mom and dad will always be my right and left wing. Pero Kuya, sabi nila mommy and ni daddy na you have to learn how to fly on your own. And I think ‘yun ‘yung biggest lesson na natutunan ko po sa bahay niyo Kuya, is to fly on my own.”
Miguel also said he wants to step back and enjoy all that he is going through and his achievements.
His partner, Carmelle Collado, then chose the word “pagkilala.”
Carmelle said she is afraid of people knowing about her stories and hardships. But since entering “PBB,” Carmelle said, “Takot na takot ako, ngunit sa tulong ng mga taong malapit sa akin, ipinaliwanag nila sa akin na walang masama at hindi mali na ikwento at malaman ng tao kung ano ang kwento ng buhay mo, lalo na kung alam mo sa sarili mo na may mabuti kang puso.”
Carmelle hopes the housemates see these in or outside the house. She also hopes to be an inspiration to other people.
Heath Jornales chose the word “pagkamatibay,” explaining that he hopes to be stronger in 2026.
“Everybody wants to be strong, but not everyone can do what it takes to be strong,” Heath said. “For me, being strong is to still keep fighting even when you’re at your lowest.”
Heath said his dad stood by his entire life, and that he wants to be like him.
His date, Caprice Cayetano, chose “paglago.”
“Para sa paparating na bagong taon, nais kong matuto at lumago, at gamitin bilang gabay ang aking mga pinagdaanan pati na rin ang natutunan mga magulang nung sila ay kasing edad ko,” she said.
“Nais ko rin maging matibay, matiyaga, mapagmahal, at masipag.”
Caprice added that her adulthood will begin this year, so she will bring along the lessons she’s learned and use them to be a good example to those younger than her.
For John Clifford, he chose “pananagutan” or accountability.
“Ang daming beses kung saan hindi ko tanggap na nagkamali ako at hindi ko tanggap na mali ‘yung mga ginagawa ko,” Clifford said.
As a teen, he acknowledges that he is not perfect and runs away from his problems.
“Ito ang dahilan kung bakit hindi ko nasisimulan ang pagbabago ko kasi hindi ko magawa ang pinaka unang hakbang, which is accountability,” he said. “Okay lang naman na magkamali, ang hindi okay ay hindi mo kayang tanggapin na mali ka.”
Finally, his date Sofia Pablo chose the word “katotohanan.”
Since entering Bahay ni Kuya, Sofia said she will stand by her truth fully and without fear.
