PBB Collab 2.0: Nadine Lustre enters as houseguest, gives advice on self-discovery, growth

The "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0" housemates were in for a treat as the "president" paid a visit!

Nadine Lustre was the latest celebrity to visit Bahay ni Kuya, and she answered questions about acting, showbiz, and self-confidence.

Princess Aaliyah said, “Tinatawag kang President Nadine for a reason, bukod sa sobrang ganda niyo, kung paano niyo rin po dinadala sarili niyo.”

She then asked about self-confidence, which is something they as teenagers struggle with.

Nadine answered, “I still go through with it even until now. I think it’s just that I learned how to deal with it.”

The “Call Me Mother” star added that when she was also a teenager, she went through an identity crisis.

“Introverted talaga ‘ko. I’ve always had a hard time interacting with new people,” Nadine said.

“Nung nag-showbiz ako, alam mo ‘yung nilagay ka sa spot na hindi ka ready. So I had to learn how to talk to people, I had to learn how to carry myself,” she added. “Tapos ayun, nagkaroon ako ng identity crisis kasi ‘pag nasa harap ako ng camera, ibang tao ako, tapos ‘pag nasa bahay lang ako, ibang tao din ako. Sobrang na-confuse ako nun kasi hindi ko na alam kung sino ‘yung totoong ako at some point.”

Nadine thinks those experiences are normal for teens as they try to discover themselves.

“Actually, kahit nung 20-plus na ‘ko, confused pa rin ako kung sino ba talaga ‘ko,” Nadine said.

“And I think that’s a normal thing kasi as humans, we keep growing diba. And we keep learning new things about ourselves.”

Nadine advised the housemates to “just go with it” and not be ashamed of what they go through.

“Kasi eventually, ma-re-realize mo na oh okay, I needed to go through that confusion to learn who I really am,” Nadine said.

“Kahit ‘yung mga experiences ko nasaktan ako or may mali akong ginawa, may mga lessons kasi ‘yun lahat,” she added. “I think you just have to allow yourself to go through it kasi eventually when you get older, you’ll understand that it was necessary.”

"Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0" started airing on October 25. The second season features 20 Gen Z celebrities from Sparkle and Star Magic.
