Former actor Luke Jickain, the inspo behind Josh in ‘Bar Boys,’ passes 2025 Bar Exams
Former actor and model Luke Jickain was among the 5,594 out of 11,420 examinees who passed the 2025 Bar Examinations. The results were released by the Supreme Court on Wednesday.
On social media, Jickain posted the results of the Bar Exams along with his graduation photo from the Arellano University School of Law.
In a post, the official “Bar Boys” Facebook page congratulated Luke, who was the basis for the character of Joshua Zuñiga, played by Kean Cipriano, in the 2017 film.
“Congratulations to former model and actor, now lawyer Luke Jickain. In 2017, he was the basis for Joshua Zuñiga in ‘Bar Boys,’” the caption read.
“He went back to law school and became the basis of the character in ‘Bar Boys: After School’ and passed the bar on his first take,” it added.
Josh Zuñiga is one of the four friends aspiring to become lawyers in “Bar Boys.” In the 2017 film, Josh struggles after failing the law school entrance exam.
In the sequel, he is finally in law school, 10 years after his friends began their law school journey.
Aside from Jickain, actor Nico Antonio, who also appeared in “Bar Boys” and played the role of Atty. Willie in "Unmarry," likewise passed the 2025 Bar Exams.
Congratulations, Luke!
