Is Michelle Dee joining Miss Grand International All Stars?
Is Michelle Dee considering a comeback to pageantry and joining the upcoming first edition of Miss Grand International All Stars?
In the latest episode of Kylie Verzosa’s “Almost Honest” podcast, Miss International 2016 asked the Kapuso beauty queen if she is joining the international competition.
“It's definitely under consideration. I don't have a yes, I don't have a no for you,” Michelle said.
She explained that she still has many questions, as joining would require major sacrifices.
“It's the first edition and I still have a lot of questions. But if the question is ‘Do I want to join? ‘Do I want to represent my country again?’ ‘Do I feel like there's fight left in me?’ Of course there is, which is why I never say I'm closing my doors on my pageent journey. But I don't have a yes or a no because it's coming so soon,” Michelle said.
Should Michelle decide to participate, it will impact her schedule and contractual obligations.
“Even though it's such an exciting concept, I mean being able to compete with people that have competed in the past, people that have something left to give, like I feel like how my pageant ended had so much controversy also, that I can't help but want to redeem that side of my journey,” she said.
Michelle added that the idea of winning another crown for her family legacy is appealing.
“Fantasizing about having a third crown for my family legacy, it's like there are a lot of pluses, but you know it doesn't come without sacrifice and those sacrifices are also very expensive, also very, you know, can affect a lot of things. So I don't have an answer for it yet but the interest is there,” she said.
In the same podcast episode, Michelle was asked about her relationship status.
“I am technically single, but my heart is taken,” Michelle said. “I am technically single because we’re not officially together again yet, but [I’m] definitely off the market emotionally and all of that.”
Michelle won Miss Universe Philippines in 2023.
She then finished in the Top 10 of Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador and won several special awards.
In 2019, Michelle also held the Miss World Philippines crown and finished in the top 12 of the global competition.
