Jeric Gonzales to star in ‘Magpakailanman’ episode ‘Pangarap at Hustisya: The Jimmy Aguilar Story’

Jeric Gonzales is set to star in an upcoming “Magpakailanman” episode titled “Pangarap at Hustisya: The Jimmy Aguilar Story.”

According to Aubrey Carampel’s report on “24 Oras,” Friday, the Sparkle star will give life to an overseas Filipino worker who was imprisoned in Malaysia after being linked to illegal activities.

Jeric said returning to “Magpakailanman” was a major challenge for him as an actor, calling the role one of the most difficult he has taken on.

“Kasi every scene talaga napakabigat, napakahirap, challenge talaga sa akin bilang aktor. Pero I'm happy na ako ‘yung nabigyan ng opportunity to play this role,” Jeric said.

Looking ahead to 2026, Jeric shared that he has several projects lined up.

Aside from acting, he also hopes to focus more on his music career, with plans to release new songs and eventually an album.

“More pelikula kasi ‘yun talaga ‘yung passion ko, ‘yung pag-aarte and then ‘yung sa music, hopefully. And sana, hopefully concert soon. ‘Yun ‘yung mga dream ko eh,” he said.

Jeric also revealed that he is preparing for a daring film project, which has motivated him to stay physically active.

He said one of his New Year’s resolutions is to improve his fitness and spend more quality time with his family.

“Mas positive ‘yung mindset na ayon mas sipagan ‘yung workout and then more time with my family kasi ‘yun ‘yung minsan nawawala ‘di ba pagka busy na tayo. And then mas engaging sa mga physical activities outside. I'm running na eh. I'm running and gusto ko sanang hiking mga ganyan,” he said.

When asked about his love life, Jeric said his focus remains on work and personal growth for now.

“Sa ngayon I'm focused sa work and myself. Self-love,” he said.
