Andrea del Rosario says she's a fan of Sexbomb Girls, hopes for Viva Hot Babes reunion
Andrea del Rosario revealed that she is a big fan of the Sexbomb Girls.
The actress guested with Regine Tolentino on “Fast Talk With Boy Abunda” on Monday, where they talked about the Sexbomb Girls’ massive reunion concert.
“I’m a fan. I’m a big fan too. You may not believe it. But I’m a big fan too,” Andrea said.
She also shared that while meeting fans during the Sexbomb Girls' mall ticket-selling event, she was asked when the Viva Hot Babes would have their own reunion.
“Nandoon ako sa mall. Tapos may madaming nakapilang tao for their show. Na-recognize nila ako. Then ‘yung mga fans tinanong ako ng, ma’am kailan po kayo?'” Andrea recalled.
“Pinaplano namin pero nag-iisip pa kami ng gimmick, guys, 'cause we are not dancers. We acknowledge kasi that we are not very good dancers like them. We are actresses, models brought together,” she added.
According to Andrea, she and the Viva Hot Babes are hoping to stage a reunion — and that they would love to do it together with the Sexbomb Girls.
“Of course, we’d love to. We’ve been doing a lot of out-of-town shows with the Hot Babes naman. It's just that siyempre ‘yung iba naging public service. Like ako, soap operas,” she said.
“Now we just have to sit down one of these days. Hopefully one of these days. Hopefully we can do one with Sexbomb 'cause I’m a fan."
The Viva Hot Babes were a popular Filipino all-female dance in the early 2000s, known for their hit songs such as “Bulaklak.” The group is composed of Andrea, Maui Taylor, Gwen Garci, Katya Santos, and Sheree Bautista, among others.
Meanwhile, the Sexbomb Girls had a reunion concert at the Araneta Coliseum on December 4 and the SM Mall of Asia Arena on December 9.
They are set to hold the “Rawnd 5” concert for February 8 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
The third and fourth rounds of the show are happening on February 6 and 7.
The group rose to fame through its daily appearances on a noontime TV variety show. Later, the Sexbomb Girls starred in the afternoon soap, "Daisy Siete," and became top recording artists.
