PBB Collab 2.0: Joaquin Arce apologizes to housemates for 'strong' personality in open forum

Joaquin Arce has apologized to his fellow housemates for coming across as rude due to his strong personality.

On Monday’s episode of “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0,” the Kapamilya artist gathered the housemates for an open forum. He thanked them for giving him criticism as it helps him become better.

“Also, I wanted to say na the reason for you not telling me criticism here is that medyo intimidating ako, I’m really sorry but ganun talaga ‘ko,” he said. “Minsan nakasimangot ako, I’m just locked in. I’m not mad or anything, I’m just really focused.”

“I really won’t get mad at you if you have something to say to me,” he added.

Joaquin explained that his strong personality comes from being raised by a strong woman. 

"I was raised by my mom and medyo strong personality din siya," he said.

It was not an excuse, he added, but an explanation of how he is.

“Medyo rough ‘yung approach ko minsan and I apologize for that, and I’m willing to improve naman.”

Joaquin also told the housemates that they do not have to be scared to approach him. Going forward, he promises to be more conscious and soften his approach.

Fred Moser told Joaquin to learn how to read the room and be polite.

The issue with Ashley Sarmiento was also addressed. While they were talking previously, Joaquin put his hand on her face to quiet her, which Ashley and the rest of the housemates thought was rude.

“Nagusap na kami ni Ashley kagabi. Yes, nag-apologize ako sa kanya and yes, nag-apologize siya sa ‘kin for interrupting me nung isang araw,” Joaquin said. “Gusto ko lang sabihin na talagang na-guilty ako dun and I really admit na I should not have done that. I regret doing that talaga. I was really remorseful of that and I promise not to do it again.”

He said that he also rights his wrongs in the house.

“Thank you for telling me this, I’ll be more aware of myself next time,” Joaquin said. “I’ll show more respect, I’ll tone myself down talaga. Thank you so much.”

"Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0" started airing on October 25. The second season features 20 Gen Z celebrities from Sparkle and Star Magic.
