Jillian Ward, David Licauco back on set of 'Never Say Die' following holiday break

Jillian Ward and David Licauco are now ready to bring their characters to life after returning to the set of their upcoming Kapuso action series "Never Say Die" following the holiday break.

In Aubrey Carampel's report on "24 Oras" Thursday, the Sparkle stars shared that they got the their much-needed rest and bonding time with family during the holidays.

"Nakagbakasyon ako nang saglit. Siyempre I'm very happy kasi I spent the holidays with my family," said Jillian.

"All throughout the year last year, I was working and ayun, I got a proper recharge for this year, so ready na tayo magtrabaho uli," shared David.

Per Jillian, she noticed that she and her co-stars have become much closer this time around, noting the chemistry among their characters.

David, for his part, noted that he has learned a lot from his co-star, veteran actress Gina Alajar.

"Si miss Gina Alajar, maka-arte ko iyong ganung level. I was learning a lot. Para ko siyang mom, parang I feel na she cares about me," he said.

"Of course Jillian, si [Kim] Ji Soo, and si Raheel [Bhyria], always fun to work with them kasi they're the young ones and I'm used to working with sina Dennis [Trillo] na medyo mas seryoso and mature 'di ba?"

"Never Say Die" is set to premiere on GMA Prime soon  — and Jillian and David are nothing short of enthusiastic about the show's deeper message.

"Hindi lang siya basta action, meron siyang purpose, meron siyang meaning. Kumbaga action siya na show with a purpose," shared Jillian.

"I think it's nice to be a part of a teleserye na binibigyan ka ng awareness, nagbibigay tayo ng awareness sa mga manonood, sa mga Kapuso natin dahil siyempre kailangan nila malaman ang mga nangyayari. And as an actor, kailangan gawin mo iyong best mo dahil it's more than just entertainment," David also said.
