Ashley Sarmiento's siblings write a surprise song for her birthday
Ashley Sarmiento’s older sisters had the most special gift for her 19th birthday.
On “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0,” her sisters wrote the song “Comma,” a metaphor for taking a breath or a pause for when life gets hard.
The girl housemates were tasked to sing the first verses. Then, the television reveals Ashley’s siblings singing the song.
Ashley could not help but shed tears at the song.
“Nagulat po talaga ‘ko, as in di ko po talaga in-e-expect na sila ‘yung makikita ko,” Ashley said, and added that she was overjoyed at the gesture.
Ashley grew up to have a close relationship with her sisters even though they have different fathers, she said.
According to Ashley, she has birthday surprises every year and was touched this year was no different, despite being away from her family.
“Malaking bagay po sa ‘kin na nakatanggap po ako ng ganung klaseng sorpresa mula po sa family ko, mga kapatid ko po,” Ashley said.
Ashley’s sisters also gave her messages. They said they were proud of her and to remain motivated while inside the house.
