Michael Pacquiao has been gaining attention on social media after eagle-eyed netizens noticed his new look.
On Instagram, the son of Filipino boxing legend Manny Pacquiao shared a selfie, flexing his side profile and revealing a noticeable change to his nose.
In the comments section, netizens expressed their support for Michael’s new look, with some encouraging him to do what makes him happy.
"You choose your happiness and boosted your confidence and that's ok. Huwag padadala sa mga sinasabi ng iba. Always do what makes you happy. Your new look suits you," a user wrote.
"Bagay sayo, Michael. [Do] what makes you happy! We believe your heart — kind and loving! Congrats congrats," another netizen said.
In the Philippines, getting cosmetic enhancements is now more socially acceptable than a decade ago.
In fact, some public figures have been open about their cosmetic enhancement journeys, including Alex Gonzaga, Geneva Cruz, and "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition" alum Xyriel Manabat, among others, who have shared about their experiences getting rhinoplasty.
Rhinoplasty is a cosmetic procedure that alters the "size or shape of the nose" to improve the appearance and symmetry of the facial features, according to Johns Hopkins Medicine.
