‘House of Lies’ cast members hold watch party for pilot episode

The cast of “House of Lies” held a watch party for its pilot episode.

According to Athena Imperial’s report on “24 Oras" Monday, cast members Beauty Gonzalez, Kris Bernal, Mike Tan, and Martin Del Rosario paused their taping with the production crew earlier to catch the airing of the show's first episode.

“Sobrang nakakatuwa kasi we just shot this in two months. Then nakita na namin 'yung kinalabasan. Nakakaiyak,” Beauty shared.

The pilot episode features an intense scene between Beauty as Marjorie Castillo and veteran actress Snooky Serna, who plays her mother in the series.

“Sabi nga ng asawa ko, nag-message sa akin ng ‘grabe isang balde ata ‘yung iyak mo sa first day pa lang.’ Effective naman daw, pati daw siya naiyak,” she added.

Meanwhile, for Kris, who plays the antagonist role of Althea Villareal, “House of Lies” is her comeback project.

“I’m giving my one hundred percent every time, every scene. Sana naman makita ng mga tao, ma-appreciate nila,” she said.

“Pero parang hindi, parang aawayin nila ako. Nako baka mabash ako dito! Natatakot ako. Magagalit sila sa akin,” Kris quipped.

According to Martin, the cast members have internalized their characters well.

“Aralin mo ‘yung character. Buti na lang 'di ba, si Coach Carla andiyan. May acting coach kami. And of course, with the guidance of Direk Jerry [Sineneng],” he shared.

Mike further teased the viewers with the exciting appearance of his character and Martin’s.

“Makikita nila kami third day. Kailangan nilang abangan ang paglabas ni Paulo at Edward Torrecampo. Actually lalabas na ang buong Torrecampo family,” Mike said.

“Sana hanggang sa Biyernes at sa mga susunod pa na araw, patuloy niyo pong subaybayan ang ‘House of Lies,’” he added.

House of Lies” airs weekdays at 3:20 p.m. on GMA Afternoon Prime.
