Ruffa Gutierrez shares update on dad Eddie Gutierrez following 2nd medical procedure

Ruffa Gutierrez has shared a positive update on her dad Eddie after he underwent a second medical procedure.

On Instagram, the actress posted photos of herself with Eddie during their stay in Singapore, where he has been undergoing treatment. She announced that there has been a significant improvement in her father’s condition, especially regarding his spine infection.

“Everything involving Dad’s spine infection has greatly improved,” Ruffa wrote, citing Dr. Prem Pillay of the Neuro Spine & Pain Center at Mount Elizabeth Hospital.

She added that Eddie’s condition has become more stable, saying, “Dad’s nerves are no longer as compressed, kumakain na ulit si Daddy, and most importantly, we are hopeful that he will be able to walk again soon.”

Ruffa also shared that they will soon be heading back to the Philippines. 

“One more visit with his urologist, and we’re finally heading home to Manila. Yayyyy!” she said.

Ruffa expressed gratitude to everyone who supported their family during the challenging time. 

“We are so thankful for Dad’s ongoing recovery and for every single prayer said on his behalf. So many sleepless nights, so many tears…but also so much love,” she said.

“To everyone who checked in, stayed with us in prayer, and showed genuine concern for Dad, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We love you all so much,” Ruffa added.

Earlier this month, Ruffa flew back to Singapore with Eddie and mom Annabelle Rama for her dad's second medical procedure.

Last month, Eddie had a spinal procedure. Shortly after, Ruffa said her father was showing signs of improvement.

However, Ruffa later said that "an MRI revealed a serious infection."

She said that he is scheduled for a two-week stay this month in Singapore and will fly again in March for another procedure.
