Joshua Decena figures in motorcycle accident in Bali
Joshua Decena was involved in a motorcycle accident while in Bali, Indonesia recently.
The "Stars on the Floor" alum narrated his experience in a clip on social media, where he can be seen all patched up with bandages.
According to Joshua, he was taking a U-turn when he dropped his wrist and drove the motorcycle straight into a canal.
"I took a little U-turn and there's a bridge right there and there's a fence that's broken. As I turned my hand, my wrist went down, the motorcycle full-throttled, there was an incline, I shot myself up in the air for like a second, fell into the sewer, as in diretsong kanal. The bike and I went straight into the corner," he said.
Joshua said that the accident created a scene, and many locals tried to help him to make sure he was okay.
He was eventually brought to the emergency room by his friends for medical assistance.
"My friends brought me to the ER. I jokingly told the doctor that my face was my work. She was like if I wanted a cleaner stitch, I should visit a plastic surgeon. I went to the plastic surgeon, which was 40 minutes away from Canggu only to find out it would take 20.4 million [rupiahs] to get this tiny stitch," he shared.
Unwilling to pay the amount, Joshua returned to the previous doctor and paid two million rupiahs for a stitch on his cheek that might scar.
"That's fine, I'd rather get the scar than pay [74,000] pesos," he said.
The dancer and content creator sustained a deep cut on his left cheek, which required three stitches. He also got a tetanus shot.
Apart from the cut on his cheek, he said he also hit his head and sustained scratches on his left knee and left forearm, whereas the skin on his right hand peeled off.
"They were cleaning this up, there were like tiny fragments of stones, so they had to pick it with a tweezer. One of the most uncomfortable, painful-ish feelings..." he said. "That is my Bali experience."
He assured his fans that he is all right, noting that he is not allowed to drink and swim. He ended the video with a reminder to his fans to "keep safe, take care."
Joshua starred in the first season of "Stars on the Floor" in 2025 alongside his dance duo Thea Astley.
