Elias J. TV recalls guesting at Sexbomb Girls’ reunion concert
Elias J. TV was among the guest artists who made an appearance at the Sexbomb Girls' reunion concert.
On Friday’s “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” the reggae artist looked back at the experience, saying the performance was finalized at the last minute.
“Galing kaming Canada ng kasamahan namin dun. Tapos pagdating namin dito na 10 p.m., salang agad. Wala akong rehearsal nun. Kumbaga on the spot ko lang ‘yung ginawa,” Elias said.
A staff member gave him a quick demo of the dance.
“Pinractice ko lang ng siguro 20 minutes lang. Pinractice ko ‘yun sa loob, sa loob ng room. Tapos pagdating dun sa Araneta, rehearsal na kami dun,” he said.
Elias remembered being in awe when he first saw the Araneta Coliseum.
“Ang laki pala ng Araneta. First time ko ngayon dito. At saka makasama ko rin si—excited ako eh. Sabi ko, kung ano ‘yung ginagawa ko sa ibang lugar, gagawin ko dito,” he said.
When asked if he plans to base himself in Metro Manila, Elias was candid.
“Siguro, hindi. Doon lang ako sa probinsya. Pero kapag may ano naman dito, pupuntahan at pupuntahan ko,” he said.
Elias is the artist behind the songs “Puhon” and “Lipad.”
Meanwhile, the SexBomb Girls had a reunion concert at the Araneta Coliseum on December 4 and the SM Mall of Asia Arena on December 9.
The third, fourth, and fifth rounds of the show are happening on February 6, 7, and 8.
The group rose to fame through its daily appearances on a noontime TV variety show. Later, the Sexbomb Girls starred in the afternoon soap, "Daisy Siete," and became top recording artists. — Carby Basina/LA, GMA Integrated News
