Is there trouble in paradise for Kate Valdez and Fumiya Sankai?

Fans are speculating the couple have split after Kate shared cryptic messages about honesty on her Instagram Stories.

“Actions reveal who a person truly is. Words only show who they PRETEND to be,” said one of the quote cards she reposted.

“The more honest you are about who you are, the faster what doesn’t belong lets go of you,” another quote said.

Kate also posted lyrics from the songs “Happier Than Ever” and “Favorite Crime.”

Eagle-eyed netizens also noticed that Kate is no longer following Fumiya on the photo-sharing platform. More over, she's also taken down their photos together.

The Japanese vlogger however remains a follower of Kate.

Kate and Fumiya sparked dating rumors in August 2024 after they spent the actress’ birthday in Hong Kong Disneyland.

Since then, they have traveled together to Japan and Taiwan, and delighted fans on their joint TikTok account Onirigi Lovers. As of writing, the TikTok channel has been deactivated 

In an August 2025 interview on "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," Kate and Fumiya said they talked about their future together.
