Alden Richards preparing for long-distance triathlon in March

Alden Richards is gearing up to join the Ironman, a long-distance triathlon, in Davao this March. 

According to “24 Oras" Tuesday, Alden is ready and nothing short of excited for the event.

“Excited ako and I don't know what to feel kasi parang I need to train for this and kumbaga, parang ito 'yung isa sa mga ways of showing 'yung cycling journey ko, na kung paano siya nag-benefit all throughout my training days,” he said.

Asia’s Multimedia Star will join a team relay along with Nico Bolzico and Wil Dasovich. Nico will be running, Wil for swimming, while Alden will take part in the cycling leg.

Alden had lost weight in preparation for the race even with his showbiz commitments.

“There's always time for everything and hindi kasi biro to participate in big races like this. And Ironman is a very well-known race franchise globally,” he said.

Meanwhile, aside from the triathlon, Alden is looking forward to moving into his new home this March. 

The home, the construction of which started late last year, is his motivation to work harder.

“I'm very excited. Something to look forward to at the same time, parang isa rin ‘yun sa mga reward ko sa sarili ko with all the hard work that I've done in the past years.”
