Barbie Forteza reveals having no script for 'Until She Remembers'
It’s a next-level acting experience for Barbie Forteza!
On Wednesday’s episode of “Unang Hirit,” the Kapuso Primetime Princess revealed there was no script for her upcoming film “Until She Remembers,” making it a particularly challenging project for her.
“Challenging siya overall kasi ang aming napakahusay na director na si Brilliante Mendoza ay wala pong script,” she said, adding their only brief for every take was an explanation of what would happen in the scene.
Dialogue was left entirely up to the actors, Barbie said, adding all the scenes were shot in a single take.
“One take lang si direk,” she said. “Ang explanation niya kaya wala siyang script kasi gusto niya, ‘no acting acting’ talaga and very raw ang reactions and emotions ng mga actors.”
“So gusto niya, ‘yung reaction mo habang nangyayari yung eksena, ganun din talaga ‘yung mangyayari sa totoong buhay,” she added.
In “Until She Remembers,” Barbie portrays Angel, a struggling 16-year-old high school student who is learning different forms of love, particularly through her relationship with her grandmother, played by Charo Santos.
The star-studded film also stars Boots Anson-Roa, Angel Aquino, Albert Martinez, Eric Quizon, and Vince Rillon.
“Until She Remembers” is set to hit the Philippine cinemas on February 25.
The movie comes at the heels of a very busy 2025 for Barbie, who starred in the Kapuso series “Beauty Empire,” and in the movies “P77” and “Kontrabida Academy.” — Hermes Joy Tunac/LA, GMA Integrated News
