Ronnie Liang holds charity birthday event for kids with cleft palates

Ronnie Liang just had a meaningful birthday celebration.

The Sparkle singer marked his special day with the “Gift of a Smile” medical mission in Marikina.

“Gift of a Smile” is a charity initiative that sponsored the corrective surgeries for 10 children with cleft palates.

According to Sparkle GMA Artist Center, the surgeries were held at St. Vincent General Hospital in Marikina City. Ronnie posed for photos with the kids and the medical team at the hospital.

In 2022, Ronnie launched “Project Ngiti,” an advocacy helping children with cleft and lip palates to undergo surgery.

“Gusto ko makatulong sa kanila na magkaroon sila ng normal at masayang buhay dahil alam ko ‘yung lumaking may cleft ay nakaranas sila ng discrimination at mga panunukso nung lumalaki sila,” he had said in a statement.

Aside from being the hitmaker behind “Ngiti,” Ronnie is also an actor, army reservist, and pilot.

He earned his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Development Administration, major in Security Development Administration at the Philippine Christian University (PCU) in 2025.
