From macho-dancing to Conan O'Brien: Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo react to viral scenes of 'Sanggang Dikit FR'

Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo guested on 'Unang Hirit' Friday and talked about parenting, their blended family, and working together on "Sanggang Dikit FR." 

They were  flashed some of the series' most-talked about scenes, with UH hosts Shaira Diaz and Susie Entrata asking for their reactions.

According to Jennylyn, she was stopping herself from laughing as Dennis and co-star Joross Gamboa macho-danced.

"Tawang-tawa ako pero kailangan kong hindi matawa para sa eksena. Deep inside, [I was thinking] 'nakupo, ang asawa ko, nagsasasayaw na duon sa stage'," she said.

Dennis meanwhile poked fun at their dad bods, saying "talagang nagpataba kami ni Joross para sa eksena na yon."

Meanwhile, both admitted to being utterly surprised by Conan O'Brien's appearance.

"Sinong mag-aakalang mag-ge-guest si Conan O'Brien sa sang show sa Pilipinas," Dennis said.

The American talkshow host was in Manila last October to shoot an episode of his show "Conan O'Brien Must Go," and made a field day out of it, entertaining fans, and yes even guesting on the Kapuso series. 

Jennylyn revealed Conan's guesting was only disclosed to them the day before the taping. "Na-surprise talaga kami: Totoo ba to?"

But everything turned out cool. The couple described him as easy to work with, and "sobrang multi."

"Kung ano Yung napapanuod ninyo sa kanya, galon din talaga siya," Jennylyn said.

Following his guesting, Conan described the experience as "incredible."

"They sent us the script, very good writing, loved it," he said. They seem to understand that I'm a silly fool. They made me a madman, they beat me up."

The last scene UH flashed was of Jennylyn grabbing Dennis for a kiss in the mouth.

As the actress revealed it took all of one take, her husband said they were comfortable doing it "kasi mag-asana na kami."

"Hindi na conscious, napagusapan namin kung ano gagawin sa eksena, so siguro, iyon Yung advantage," Dennis said.
