Arabelle Dela Cruz on winning 'Veiled Cup Korea': 'Sabi ko gagawin ko nalang 'yung best ko'

The Filipino throat chakra dominated the “Veiled Cup Korea,” thanks to the talent of Arabelle Dela Cruz, who was hailed as the grand champion.

On Tuesday’s episode of "Unang Hirit," the Sparkle artist recalled her experience competing on the Korean talent show.

“Hindi ko rin in-expect ‘yung naging competition kasi after ‘The Clash,’ parang wala na akong naiisip na sasalihan eh,” she said. “Tapos biglang dumating ‘yung ‘Veiled Cup Korea.’”

Arabelle shared that she initially just planned to get through the first round of the competition, thinking that whatever happened afterward would already be fine with her.

“Actually every round, gano’n lang 'yung nasa isip ko, sabi ko gagawin ko nalang ‘yung best ko,” she said.

Arabelle was the only Filipino contestant to advance to the grand finals. Fellow Filipino singers Garrett Bolden and Thea Astley also took part in the competition.

She previously competed in “The Clash 2025” and finished as a first runner-up—Hermes Joy Tunac/JCB, GMA Integrated News
