Kylie Padilla resumes taping in 'Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre'

The Sang'gres of "Encantadia" 2016 are reuniting sooner than you think!

According to Aubrey Carampel's report on "24 Oras," Kylie Padilla is back on set as Amihan, as her reunion with fellow Sang'gres—Pirena (Glaiza De Castro), Alena (Gabbi Garcia), and Danaya (Sanya Lopez)—draws near.

In the report, Sanya and Glaiza expressed excitement about their upcoming on-screen reunion.

"Siyempre nakaka-excite kasi magkakasama na kami diba. So siyempre ayon 'yung inaabangan ng mga ibang Enkantadiks. Talagang until now nagpapasalamat kami dahil patuloy pa rin 'yung pagsuporta nila sa amin. Lagi nila kaming hinahanap," Sanya said.

"This time totoong magsasama-sama po kaming apat. Excited na excited na po kaming makabalik on screen na magkakapatid. Siyempre na-miss namin ang isa't-isa. Namiss ko itong armor na to. So excited kaming ano makipaglaban ulit together," Glaiza added.

Meanwhile, Gabbi said that she is happy that they have become closer over the past 10 years.

"Happy ako na mas naging close pa kaming apat. After 10 years 'yung relationship namin hindi lang the same. Mas naging close pa kami kasi siyempre nasa iba't ibang chapter na kami ng buhay namin," she shared.

Meanwhile, Solenn Heussaff, who plays Bathalumang Cassiopeia, said comeback in the series prompted her return to acting after focusing on motherhood.

"Sabi ko, 'di ko talaga pwedeng sabihin ang 'no' because Cassiopeia's role is very close to my heart talaga," Solenn said.

"I love that the show has come up with so many different angles, so many new characters. It's also very nice to get to see the 2016 cast. Kasi super close kami," she added.

Viewers can also look forward to the intense battle between the new generation of Sang'gres—Flammara (Faith Da Silva), Adamus (Kelvin Miranda), Deia (Angel Guardian) and Terra (Bianca Umali) —and Gargan (Tom Rodriguez).

"Encantadia" creator and head writer Suzette Doctolero also teased viewers about the upcoming events in the series.

"May mamamatay, may mga pangitain. At hindi naman puwedeng pangitain lang 'yon. Siyempre may magkakatoo, mayroong hindi dahil maabatan nila. Pero sa kabila ng death, mayroong good news," she said."

Meanwhile, series directors Enzo Williams and Rico Gutierrez have been hard at work conceptualizing the series' much-anticipated "Great War" finale.

"Madami pa kaming ginagawang mga visual effects also. Tapos ngayong pinag-uusapan namin 'yung Great War," Gutierrez said.

"It's a big Great War that we're doing. It's a big preparation. Exciting siya kasi ang daming cast like nandoon 'yung OG Sang'gres which is 'yung sa 2016 and the new generation of Sang'gres. So ang laki ng eksena," Williams added.

"Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre" airs on GMA Network from Mondays to Fridays at 8:05 p.m. after "24 Oras." You can also watch it online via the Kapuso Stream on YouTube. —Jade Veronique Yap/MGP, GMA Integrated News
