Sofia Pablo reflects on friendship after 'PBB Collab 2.0' stint
Sofia Pablo reflected on the meaning of friendship following her “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0” stint.
In an interview with GMA News Online, the Sparkle star shared her thoughts on what defines a real friend: someone who fully accepts another person for who they truly are, flaws included.
“Para sa akin, being a real friend means na tatanggapin mo ‘yung tao nang buong-buo kung sino talaga siya. And even if may flaws ‘yung tao na ‘yun, you'll learn to accept it and actually help the person na ma-improve ‘yun and mag-grow and not talk about them,” she said.
For her, friendship should not be influenced by other people’s opinions.
“Especially sa friends ko here outside, natutunan ko na ‘yung pagiging kaibigan, hindi siya nakadepende sa opinyon ng ibang tao. It's really how you see the person,” she added.
She also reflected on how her friends outside the house stood by her even before she joined PBB, especially during times when she felt misunderstood.
“Before PBB, medyo people didn't like me, but my friends were there for me and pinangatawanan nila na kaibigan nila ako. So, mas na-appreciate ko lalo ‘yung thought na ‘yun na kahit may times na sobrang down ako, they were really there for me and hindi nila ako iniiwan. So, para sa akin, ‘yun ang definition ng real na friend: ‘yung tatanggapin ka ng buong-buo and no matter what happens, whether you're high or low, they'll be there for you,” she said.
Sofia got evicted from “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition” on Saturday alongside Eliza Borromeo.
She spent 99 days inside the iconic house and expressed a sense of fulfillment following her exit.
"I can say that I've fulfilled my purpose: to show the world who I really am," she said.
