Michael Sager gets birthday surprise from 'Born to Shine' co-stars

Michael Sager received a sweet birthday surprise from his "Born to Shine" co-stars! 

According to Nelson Canlas' report on "24 Oras" Friday, the Sparkle star received a birthday cake from his co-stars during the lunch break of their pictorial for the upcoming Kapuso series.

"Naka-huddle kasi sila, akala ko nagdadasal. Sabi ko hala may ini-interrupt ba ako, 'yun pala may pa-surprise sila so in fairness nagulat ako and I'm so happy lang it's such a warm surprise," shared Michael. 

Michael's friends Kyline Alcantara, Thea Astley, and Mark Bautista also greeted the actor on his special day. 

Previously, Michael shared cinematic photos from his birthday photoshoot via Instagram, which captured him in a road trip-inspired setup. 

"I’m an old soul eh. I love the old music and stuff like that. I chose a vintage car kasi gusto ko i-bring back 'yung Hollywood vibes," he said of the photoshoot. 

"I don’t know, kahit bata ako parang gusto ko 'yung times na 'yun and feeling ko it's close to me and for my birthday I want to show a bit of my personality." 

"Born to Shine" is coming to GMA Network soon! 

Michael will star in the series alongside Zephanie.

Other cast members include Olive May, Manilyn Reynes, Vina Morales, Smokey Manaloto, Tina Paner at Roselle Nava. It will be directed by Rod Marmol

Michael and Zephanie previously worked together in the Kapuso series “Luv is: Caught in His Arms.” 

Michael was among the 20 housemates of “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 1.0.”

He previously starred in the vertical series “A Masked Billionaire Stole My Heart” with Ysabel Ortega, and in his self-produced film “Opposites Almost Attract” with AZ Martinez.
