Bea Millan-Windorski named Miss Universe Philippines - La Union
Bea Millan-Windorski has been named Miss Universe Philippines - La Union, marking her return to the pageant scene.
On Instagram, Bea shared photos of herself wearing her sash, saying that representing La Union holds deep personal meaning.
"It’s an honor to represent the province I grew up visiting my lola and lolo. La Union is where I fell in love with the Philippines and developed my dream of building a life here. Some of my fondest childhood memories come from exploring the surf of San Juan Beach, collecting corals with my kapatid Sunny, and volunteering to protect my beloved pawikan with Project CURMA," she wrote in the caption.
Bea also reflected on carrying the name of her great-grandmother Beatriz, whom she described as a widowed sari-sari store owner who raised and sent her daughters to school on her own.
“I am now also honored to represent my Elyucana identity and ancestral roots by carrying the title of Miss Universe Philippines - La Union,” she said.
On her Instagram bio, Bea calls herself an “Elyucana-American in Makati.”
Bea competed in Miss Earth 2024 representing USA and won Miss Earth Water.
