Izzy Trazona narrates emotional surprise appearance at Sexbomb Girls’ concert

Izzy Trazona looked back on how her surprise appearance at the Sexbomb Girls’ Rawnd 4 concert last Saturday came together, saying the decision was rooted in faith, love, and a deep connection with her former groupmates.

On Tuesday’s “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” Izzy explained her casual outfit, saying she came straight from a live-selling engagement on the day of the concert.

According to Izzy, she really wanted to attend the show and first sought the approval of her husband, Alvin Aragon, who initially hesitated given the scale of the concert.

"Pinag-pray ko muna, tapos nag-devotion ako," Alvin said. "Na-convince ako na ito guidance ng Panginoon sa kaniya. ‘O sige, hon. I support you. Sige kung gusto mong um-attend, umattend ka'," he added.

Izzy then contacted Mia Pangyarihan to ask if there was a ticket available. And while no ticket was secured, Mia was able to arrange backstage access for her, asking that the surprise be kept from the rest of the group.

“Pumasok kami sa backstage and then, sobrang kabado ako. Ang daming tao. And then, nandun kami, nanonood kami naka-stand up and then, pinapasok na rin kami doon sa technicals kasi wala talagang upuan dahil puno. So, nanonood ako,” Izzy said.

As she watched the performance, she said she felt a sense of longing and familiarity, describing the group as people she had been with for a long time.

Later, a staff member approached her and informed her that she was being requested by Mia to go on stage.

“Tapos, lumapit si Mia, ‘Mare!’ Nag-iyakan na kaming dalawa doon. Sabi ko, ‘Sandali lang, ‘di pa ako lumalabas namumugto na ‘yung mata ko, mare,’” Izzy said.

Izzy then turned emotional recalling how her emotions overflowed when she stepped on the stage.

“Sobrang ‘yung heart ko, talagang nag-uumapaw na na-miss ko ‘tong mga to. Na-miss ko po sila. From 2009, nung nag-resign po ako eh, and ngayon ko lang sila ulit na on stage nakasama, sobrang emotional. I love them so much, Tito Boy. Sobrang mahal na mahal, namimiss. Every time they invite me na ‘punta ka naman sa concert.’ Lagi kami nag-iiyakan ni Rochelle na, I'm sorry, ganyan. Hindi ako makakapunta,” she said.

When asked what she missed the most during that moment, Izzy said it was the hugs she shared with her former groupmates.

“Na-miss ko ‘yung mga hug namin. Talagang hindi namin inalintana, kung ano ‘yung kailangan na next nilang gagawin, but, we take that time to really hug each other, and, talagang feel na talagang miss each other,” she said.

Alvin, who watched from the sidelines while filming and taking care of their child, said he was also emotional during the performance.

“Andun lang ako, na ‘yung presensya ko, parang sinasabi ko, nandito ako, hon, para sa'yo. Kung anong desisyon mo, suportahan kita,” he said.

The SexBomb Girls first had a reunion concert at the Araneta Coliseum on December 4 and the SM Mall of Asia Arena on December 9.

The third, fourth, and fifth shows were also held at the MOA Arena on February 6, 7, and 8.

They are set to have a Round 6 for their highly in-demand concert and will also have a world tour.
