Dingdong Dantes dons different disguises in 'Master Cutter'

Dingdong Dantes' character in the upcoming Kapuso series "Master Cutter" is looking to be an exciting one!

As seen in Nelson Canlas' report in "24 Oras" on Tuesday, the Kapuso Primetime King took on several character disguises for his role in the series, such a clown costume and other looks with wigs and beards.

Dingdong shared that beyond the action scenes, viewers can also look forward to the many layers his character will reveal as the story unfolds.

"Very interesting kasi 'yung tema ng palabas so marami akong mga disguise dito. Pero higit sa lahat, siyempre 'yung kwento. Iyon naman talaga 'yung pinakamahalaga sa lahat. 'Yung human element ng bawat character na pinoportray dito," he said.

Series director Dominic Zapata added that viewers can relate to the story.

"We layered the chaos of Baclaran with all the action scenes but the point being is we want to see through the chaos, through individual characters. People who live in Baclaran, try to delve into their lives and see what really is behind these people," Zapata said.

"They are all relatable and it's spiced with a lot of actions," he added.

Aside from its primetime debut on April 20, the "Master Cutter" will start streaming on Netflix on April 17.

During the launch, GMA Network Senior Vice President Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes expressed excitement about its debut on the platform.

"We are very excited and we are very thankful to Netflix kasi nadadala niya ang program not just from GMA but from other local producers to a wider audience such as Southeast Asia and the global arena," she said.

"Master Cutter" is an action series that follows the story of Anthony (Dingdong), a former scout ranger turned lowkey-tailor who secretly lives a double life as an elite hunter or man tracker.

It will also star Max Collins, Shuvee Etrata, Charlie FlemingSienna Stevens among others. —Jade Veronique Yap/MGP, GMA Integrated News
